Privacy Policy
Effective May 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Venn Advisory LLC (“Venn,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit vennadvisory.ai (the “Site”), book a call with us, or otherwise interact with Venn Recruiting.
Venn is a Utah limited liability company operating from Lehi, Utah. The Site is intended for use by businesses and the individuals who represent them. Venn does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: information you provide to us directly, information collected automatically through standard web technologies, and information collected by service providers acting on our behalf.
Information you provide
- Contact information you submit when you book an intro call, including name, email address, company name, and any details you provide in the booking notes.
- Information you provide by emailing contact@vennadvisory.ai or any other Venn email address, including the content of those communications.
- Information you provide when you become a Venn client, including the information necessary to perform a search and execute the engagement letter.
Information collected automatically
- Standard log information when you visit the Site, including IP address (anonymized by Google Analytics 4 before storage), browser type, device type, referring URL, and pages viewed.
- Usage data tracking how you interact with the Site, including which pages you visit, how long you stay, scroll depth on long-form pages, and which links you click. This data is collected via Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization enabled.
- Cookie data set by Google Analytics 4 to recognize repeat visitors and aggregate usage patterns.
- Advertising and conversion data collected through the LinkedIn Insight Tag, which uses cookies to measure the performance of our LinkedIn advertising, understand which visitors arrived from LinkedIn campaigns, and build audiences for those campaigns. See Section 4 for more detail and how to opt out.
Information collected by service providers
- When you book a call through the Calendly widget embedded on our Contact page, Calendly collects your name, email address, the time you selected, and any notes you include with the booking. This information is shared with Venn for the purpose of holding the call.
- If you become a Venn client and pay through Stripe, Stripe collects payment information necessary to process the transaction. Venn does not store full payment card numbers; we receive only the information necessary to confirm successful payment and reconcile billing.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To respond to your inquiries, schedule and conduct intro calls, and follow up on conversations you initiate.
- To perform Venn Recruiting services for clients in accordance with the engagement letter.
- To understand how the Site is used and improve the content, structure, and performance of our pages.
- To measure and improve the performance of our advertising, including LinkedIn campaigns, and to reach relevant audiences with information about Venn.
- To send transactional communications about active engagements (billing notifications, search updates, retention check-ins).
- To comply with legal obligations, enforce our agreements, and protect the rights, property, or safety of Venn, our clients, or others.
We do not use your information to send unsolicited marketing communications. Venn does not maintain a marketing email list or newsletter.
3. How we share information
We share information only as described below. We do not sell personal information.
Service providers
We share information with third-party service providers that perform services on our behalf. These providers are authorized to use information only as necessary to provide their services to Venn:

- LinkedIn — advertising delivery, campaign measurement, and audience building via the LinkedIn Insight Tag.
- Calendly — call scheduling and calendar coordination.
- Stripe — payment processing for client engagements.
- DocuSign — engagement letter execution.

When you are a candidate Venn presents to a client, we share your information with that client for the purpose of evaluating you for the role. Candidates we present are notified of this and may opt out of presentation at any time.
Legal requirements
We may disclose information when required to do so by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, comply with legal process, or respond to a government request.
Business transfers
If Venn is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your information.
4. Cookies and tracking
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Essential cookies that are necessary for the Site to function. These are set by Squarespace.
- Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics 4 to measure how the Site is used. These cookies are IP-anonymized.
- Advertising cookies set by the LinkedIn Insight Tag. These cookies allow us to measure conversions from our LinkedIn advertising, understand which visitors arrived from LinkedIn campaigns, and build audiences for future campaigns on LinkedIn.
- Calendly sets cookies when you interact with the embedded scheduling widget on our Contact page.
We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag for advertising and conversion measurement, as described above. We do not embed advertising or tracking technologies from other social media platforms (no Facebook Pixel, no Twitter pixel). LinkedIn’s collection and use of information through the Insight Tag is also governed by LinkedIn’s own privacy policy.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of LinkedIn’s use of your data for advertising through your LinkedIn account settings or LinkedIn’s advertising opt-out controls. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Site, including the ability to book a call through the Calendly widget.
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
- Analytics data retained according to Google Analytics 4 defaults (currently 14 months).
- Advertising and conversion data collected through the LinkedIn Insight Tag retained according to LinkedIn’s default retention periods for advertising data.
- Calendly booking data retained for as long as your Calendly contact record exists in our account.
- Email correspondence retained in Google Workspace according to our standard email retention practices.
- Client engagement records, including candidate information, retained for as long as the engagement is active and for a reasonable period after the engagement closes, in accordance with the confidentiality terms of the engagement letter.
- Billing records retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations (generally seven years).
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights with respect to the information we hold about you:
- The right to know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use it.
- The right to request a copy of your personal information.
- The right to request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- The right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal obligations and legitimate business needs.
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Venn does not sell personal information. Venn uses the LinkedIn Insight Tag for advertising, which may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state privacy laws; you may opt out as described below.
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@vennadvisory.ai with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We will respond within 45 days, or such shorter period as required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
To opt out of advertising-related tracking specifically, you can disable cookies in your browser and adjust your LinkedIn advertising settings, as described in Section 4.
California residents
This Privacy Policy serves as our notice at collection under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) and California Privacy Rights Act (“CPRA”). We do not sell personal information. We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag to deliver and measure advertising, which may constitute “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA and CPRA. California residents may opt out of this sharing by adjusting browser cookie settings and LinkedIn advertising controls, or by contacting us at contact@vennadvisory.ai with the subject line “Privacy Request.”
7. Security
Venn uses commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. These include access controls, encryption in transit, and regular security reviews of our service providers.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is fully secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to maintain practices appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold.
8. International transfers
Venn is based in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer.
We do not actively market to residents of the European Union or United Kingdom. If you are an EU or UK resident who wishes to engage with Venn, additional terms may apply.
9. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of the policy and, where appropriate, notify affected individuals by email or through a notice on the Site.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
